From September 2005 to June 2006 a team of thirteen scholars at the The University of Southern California's Annenberg Center for Communication explored how new and maturing networking technologies are transforming the way in which we interact with content, media sources, other individuals and groups, and the world that surrounds us.

Merlyna Lim is a NetPublics fellow at the Annenberg Center for Communication
University of Southern California. She just completed her doctoral study in Science, Technology and Society Studies (STS) at the University of Twente, Enschede - The Netherlands in September 2005.
Her current research and teaching interests revolve around the social — mainly cultural and political — factors shaping the information and communication technology, particularly the Internet, and its implications for society.
